2. Dr John REID M.D. was born before 30 May 1779. He was christened on 30 May 1779 in Paisley.⁵ He was educated in 1804/5 in University of Glasgow. [NEED TO DEFINE SENTENCE: Burgess] 1808 Poss NOT he was a Doctor of Medicine in Paisley, Glasgow. He died on 22 Aug 1827.⁶

Dr John REID M.D. and Miss Marion WHYTE were married on 3 Apr 1803 in Paisley, Middle Church.⁷ Miss Marion WHYTE (daughter of Mr Andrew WHYTE and Miss Margaret WATERSON ? (poss not)) was christened on 20 Jan 1779 or 1780 in Paisley. She was born before 20 Jan 1780. She died before Feb 1844. Dr John REID M.D. and Miss Marion WHYTE had the following children:
