Miss Jeanie Marion REID14,72 was born about 1850 in Scotland.73 [[[Birth note: 1881 census, aged 30, Scotland][UPDATE June 07: Aged 1 1851 S census: spelled as REED and born Dumbarton Cadrop which could be Cardross?][Death in Jun q 1934 has aged 86]]] She lived in Newbiggin-by-the-Sea about 1874.74 She died on 18 Jun 1934 in Newcastle T R-d.75 [[Death note: from Liz Robson booklet][fmp (Typed) Jeanie MM Robson Jun q 1934 aged 86 Newcastle T R-d 10b 169]](In a note from Liz Robson she quotes an extract from a Bible with Jeannie Marion Marshall as second wife to a Robert Robson. June 07: Where did the Marshall come from? Did her mother Janet Reid remarry a Mr Marshall? We cannot find one. See her General note) [General note: EBM C(H) says that a girl called Jean went to live at 8 years old with John Campbell Reid and called him uncle: query a daughter of a female Reid?** and she and MA Reid (later Hoy) were brought up as sisters. Perhaps she was the daughter of a JC Reid brother, LC Reid? because a son was called Lorne Campbell Robson. Also that she married a Robson, query Robert? (apparently her mother remarried and JMR did not get on with stepfather)](UPDATE 3 June 07: I cannot find JMR (as any spellings) on 1861 or 1871 censuses in Scotalnd or England)(Nor can I find a remarriage (not even to a Marshall: cf death of Jeannie MM Robson and named as Jeanie Marion Marshall Reid in Liz Robson booklet - where did Marshall come from???)
UPDATE 1:
(1881 Census has Jeanie M Robson, aged 30, born in Scotland, and married to a Robson, with children, including a Walter aged 4 and a Marian aged 1. Also Hannah S aged 2.
Jean appears to have been Jeanie Marion Reid, as found on FreeBMD and checked on GRO fiche), UPDATE 2: (JMR married RR jnr and was a daughter of LCR!!) ** Why did I put female?

(UPDATE: June 2007: ** as Edward G Mangin on 1871 (does not look like G but N: but N of Nothumberland is less ornate) aged 53 Vicar of Woodhorn)(indexed as Edward Nangreave Mongon on 1861 but looks like Mangin as Vicar of Horsley))(various refs on Google to a father - cf Nangreave refs - EM, also a Vicar)(refs to him as Vicar in Howick in 1862)(Liz Robson booklet has Maugin) Mr Robert ROBSON jnr (son of Mr Robert ROBSON snr and Miss Hannah STEPHENSON) was born in 1842 in Newcastle?.78,79 [[[[Birth note: If our Robson, See General note. 1881 Census, aged 39][Robert (Junior), b 1842][1891 aged 48][1901 aged 58]]]] He lived in Newcastle- on-Tyne about 1874.80 About 1881 he was a Cabinet Manufacturer (Maker) in Newcastle.14 [Occupation note: given in 1881 Census]. He lived 18 Claremont Place (N o T) in Newcastle on Tyne about 1881.14 [Resided note: 1881 Census, living at 18 Claremont Place]. He died on 22 Dec 1930.81 [Death note: Robson family tree] [[General note: 1881 Census shows he had two servants:- Dorothy J Weallans (General Servant (DS), aged 22 born in Newcastle. ( In the family tree in the Story of Robson's Furniture Store someone has added after that Robert (Junior) married, had one son and his wife died. He then married Jean Maclean?
In print: they had D, LCR b 1881, D, D, Ernest b 1883 !!!

He married JM Reid. (McClean is grandmother!)
