19. Miss Henrietta
BROWN was born on 23 Feb 1810 in Whitworth, Co. Durham.40,41 [[[[Birth
note: URC note states born in Spennymoor House. See OS map dated 1855 - 57][Whitworth
on 1851 Census][Birth date on Baptism Record][aged 31 in 1841 NBiC]]]] She was
baptized on 6 May 1810 in Whitworth, Co. Durham.42 [Baptism note: 2 daughter, father (Farmer of Spennimoor
House) Geo. and mother Elizabeth Wheatley] She lived in West Thirston about
1841.43 She appeared in
the census in 1851 in Felton. She died on 31 Aug 1859 in West Thirston.40,44
[[[Death note: Our original URC source was from letters between URC and Campbell
Alexander Hoy.
Source was an obituary from a marked "unknown" source. Mrs CH Croker
received copy from URC History Society.
RT Croker noted that the page ended in a comma, and asked if URCHS could look
for more pages. Luckily someone recognised the format and found end of article
in the Presbyterian Messenger 1859. It gave no other names though.
Died and buried at Felton.
Query "Died at Felton, on the 31st August, aged 49 Mrs H H" etc.
and "On Sabbath, the 11th inst., her death was improved by" etc etc.
She was interred at Felton][On grave stone, has aged 48 but would have been 49][FBMD

of The Church in Thirston adjoining Felton, Northumberland.50 About 1834 he was a Schoolmaster in Thirston adjoining
Felton, Northumberland.50
About 1841 he was a Presbyterian Minister.43
He lived in West Thirston about 1841.43
About 1851 he was a Minister in Presbyterian Chapel, Felton. About
1861 he was a Presbyterian Minister. He lived in West Thirston House,
West Thirston about 1861. He retired on 9 Jul 1867.48 He died on 26 Dec 1869.51,52 [[Death

[Burial note: EMBC(H) found reference to a Hoy grave in Felton Church (St. Michael
and all Angels (section b)) and found the stone still standing. Later RTC and

AH must have had more children because it is noted RJH had nephews, unless they
were RJH deceased wife's nephews]

She was living about 1881 in Bedlington, Northumberland.60 [Living note: 1881 Census, Mortons Buildings No 1,
with sister in law]. She died about 1930.53

[[[General note: She did not marry: source: CH Hoy][CA Hoy said he visited his
aunt Henrietta in Newcastle. Dr CH Hoy said Rachel Henrietta was known as aunt
Henrietta. In 1901 she lived in Newcastle with nieces and nephews][CA Hoy said
she had 2 10 cm sq note books in a sort of shorthand and an hour glass (kept
on pulpit) belonging to her father, Rev A Hoy. She had promised them to a nephew.
